Behavior Technician- Norwalk, CA
Start Date: ASAP-6/4/26
Pay: $25-26/hour (paid weekly)
Location: 100% on-site – Norwalk, CA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 7:30am-4:00pm. 6 hours/day with 30 min unpaid lunch, 27.5 hours/week.
Job Type: W-2

About the Role:

The Behavior Technician will be working with students 1:1 in a classroom setting with severe disabilities. They will provide essential support to the classroom teacher and assist in the implementation of educational programs. This role involves working closely with students who have significant physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities, ensuring they receive the appropriate care, instruction, and support to achieve their individual educational goals.

Required Qualifications of the BT:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 40 hour ABA training
  • At least 1 year experience working with children with special education needs
  • Must be comfortable providing toileting & diapering service to students of all ages
  • Must have skills to address challenging student behaviors
  • Must be comfortable in a classroom setting and comfortable providing academic support to students as well

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Support

  • Assist in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
  • Support students in developing academic, social, communication, and functional skills
  • Modify tasks and provide accommodations as directed by the classroom teacher or specialists
  • Behavioral support

Classroom and Team Collaboration

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support personnel to provide whole-student care
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as requested
