Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team that primary serve older adults with nursing homes and outpatient medical clinics. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing mental health counseling and support to individuals, older adults. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote mental wellness. The Behavioral Health Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to address their unique needs and challenges while adhering to ethical standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
- Provide psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and group therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment updates in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in home and community settings.
- Offer support for patients dealing with memory impairments, dementia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction issues, or behavioral difficulties.

- Qualifications
- Master’s degree in therapy (MFT), Social Work (LCSW), Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid licensure or certification as a counselor or therapist is required.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques such as applied behavior analysis and behavior management strategies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical records management.
- Ability to conduct individual and group counseling sessions effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
