About Job

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and implementing behavioral therapy techniques for children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. The Behavior Technician will work closely with clients to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance their quality of life through structured interventions and data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.
  • Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to track progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities during therapy sessions.
  • Assist in the development of therapeutic activities that promote social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient assessments, medical records, and intake information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and special education.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, patient care practices, and medical documentation processes.
  • Strong data collection skills for effective monitoring of client progress.
  • Understanding of the unique needs of individuals with autism and other disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in various situations.
