Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and educational success of students by providing psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of child development, special education, and effective communication with students, families, and educators.
Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Develop safety plans and crisis intervention strategies for at-risk students.
- Engage in conflict management and crisis management as necessary within the school environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data-driven outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student cases and share insights on behavioral health.
- Provide training and support to school staff on best practices for working with students with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and terminology related to patient care.
Skills
- Strong background in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and patient assessment.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and behavioral health issues.
- Proficient in special education practices, including knowledge of IEP processes.
- Familiarity with psychological testing methods and applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, educators, and other professionals.
- Ability to manage cases effectively while providing compassionate care to students in need.
- Experience working directly with children in educational settings is essential.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and intake processes for new referrals.

Pay: $50.00 - $68.00 per hour
