The goal of the Crisis Counseling Program is to assist individuals, families, and communities in recovering from the challenging effects of the catastrophic flooding of the Guadalupe River occurring in the early-morning hours of July 4, 2025. The Crisis Counseling Program Director will oversee the operations of the Crisis Counseling Program. This role is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders and community members, managing staff, training, reporting, data analysis, marketing, and fiscal monitoring for the program. The Director will ensure robust outreach and support are provided to those affected by the Guadalupe River flood disaster. This role oversees reporting to the grantee and will ensure the program goals and objectives are met. Regular site visits to ensure the CCP Team has full support to ensure appropriate services are delivered through observation. This is a federally funded grant position that is temporary and is expected to be funded for a minimum of 6 months, but may be extended depending on funding and need.
You will get to:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the CCP Program
- Collaboration with stakeholders and community members
- Manage staff, training, reporting, data analysis, marketing, and fiscal monitoring for the program
- Represents CCP at high-level meetings with the community and state leadership meetings
- Works with other disaster service agencies to ensure coordination of behavioral health response and no duplication of services
- Conducts regular site visits to providers and accompanies the CCP team as an observer to ensure appropriate services are delivered
- Ensure program goals and objectives are met
- Directly supervises the Team Leads and Program Manager
You'll definitely need:
- Preferred: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social, behavioral, or human services
- Preferred: Professional licensure in a related field (LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, sociology, behavioral, or human services
- Preferred: Experience in disaster behavioral health work
- Demonstrated familiarity with the local community
- Preferred: FEMA Disaster Grant Administration
- A valid Texas State Driver's License.
- Current automobile insurance and the ability to travel to individuals when necessary.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
- Live within 30 miles of the clinic with reliable transportation
We'll also want you to:
- Conduct site visits in non-traditional settings during non-traditional hours
- Ensure the team reaches large numbers of people affected by disasters through face-to-face outreach
- Represents the Crisis Counseling Program in the community and networks with other agencies and partners to ensure the needs of survivors are met
- Submits documentation and data timely, accurately by utilizing the appropriate process/method
- Complete FEMA CCP Trainings
