About the Opportunity

We are a well-established, private mental health practice based in Culver City, California, seeking a Remote Part-Time Clinical Supervisor to serve as our Director of Clinical Training. This is a remote therapist job ideal for experienced, licensed clinicians looking to supervise AMFTs, APCCs, and ASWs working toward licensure.

This flexible role offers the opportunity to mentor pre-licensed mental health therapists, provide high-quality clinical supervision, and support professional development — all from the convenience of a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists (AMFT, APCC, ASW).
• Ensure compliance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) supervision guidelines.
• Guide and support associate therapists with clinical case consultation, treatment planning, and ethical decision-making.
• Assist with the development and implementation of clinical training programs.
• Review documentation and case notes for quality assurance and best practices.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to support clinical excellence and organizational growth.
• Participate in professional development, supervision training, and meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active California license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD in Clinical Psychology.
• Eligible to supervise pre-licensed clinicians under BBS regulations (willing to complete required supervision training if not already certified).
• Minimum of 3 years post-licensure clinical experience.
• Experience supervising or training associate therapists or mental health interns strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
• Comfortable using telehealth and remote supervision tools (Zoom, Google Workspace, EHR platforms).

Job Details

• Schedule: Flexible, based on availability (weekdays and/or weekends within 9am–8pm PST).
• Hours: 10–12 hours per week.
• Location: 100% remote work from anywhere in California.
• Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor.
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate — starting at $40/hour, based on experience.
• Must carry active professional liability insurance ($1M/$3M minimum).
