Overview
Music Therapy St. Pete is a growing private practice operating out of St. Petersburg, FL, servicing the St. Pete community and surrounding areas. We provide a variety of music therapy services and adapted lessons to all ages and abilities in our clinic, online, and by visiting community, health-care, and educational organizations. We are looking for another Board Certified Music Therapist to join our team of 7 MT-BCs!

MT-BC will serve a diverse private practice clientele in the community, in home, remotely, and in our clinic. A full-time position is preferred, but part-time interest will be considered as well. A full time music therapist at MTSP maintains an average of 24-28 clinical hours per week based on therapist availability and preference. MT-BC will be expected to maintain a consistent caseload, participate in team meetings, conduct assessments and care plans for clients on their caseload, document on their sessions, and, most importantly, provide quality care.

We have an on-site clinic that includes multiple rooms for private sessions, instruments & resources for therapist use, and a communal work space for team meetings and office work. All of our staff currently maintain a M-F schedule, but this job allows for some schedule flexibility and therapist control. Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of at least 24 clinical hours (full-time) or 15 clinical hours (part-time)
• Conduct individual and group music therapy sessions to address the emotional, cognitive, and social needs of clients.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessments and client goals.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation .
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in music therapy.

Requirements

• Board Certification (MT-BC) / on track to be board certified within 2 months of application date
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Completed internship experience from an AMTA approved or university affiliated music therapy internship
• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and up to date car insurance
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Experience in early childhood, older adult, and general private practice is ideal, but all work history will be considered
• Ability to teach multiple instruments preferred
