Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider an available part-time position with Liberty Healthcare’s forensic mental health program based at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.

This award-winning program provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adult inmates who are justice involved and experiencing mental illness.

As a Psych Tech with Liberty, you will help ensure people achieve improved mental health while working alongside an experienced, talented, and dedicated team of mental health professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with patients

• Promoting a positive therapeutic milieu

• Encouraging patients to take advantage of the program’s available mental health services

• Monitoring patient behaviors and administering appropriate therapeutic interventions

• Facilitating psycho-educational groups on various topics such as self-esteem, anger management and impulse control

• Actively participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborating with Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Therapists, Nurses and security staff

• Documenting patient’s progress and interventions in medical records

This is a part-time position limited to one 8-hour shift on Mondays during daytime hours.

You can expect to be paid between $30.00 and $37.00, depending on qualifications.

You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Psychiatric Technician and have experience supporting people who are experiencing mental illness.
