Position: Art Therapist @ Virtual Private Practice

Position Overview: We are seeking to expand and are looking for a passionate and experienced art therapist to join as a contract employee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art therapy and a genuine desire to help others explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and foster self-awareness through creative expression. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely within a flexible schedule, providing art therapy services to clients in virtual sessions.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate virtual art therapy sessions for clients, utilizing a variety of creative techniques and therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct client assessments to identify individual needs, goals, and treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients as they explore personal issues and emotions through art.
• Maintain thorough and accurate client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other medical and/or mental health providers to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
• Stay current on best practices and developments in the field of art therapy through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Art Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• MUST HAVE: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), LCSW, and/or Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist (LCPAT) in the state of Maryland.
• Proficient in conducting virtual therapy sessions using secure and HIPAA-compliant EHR platforms
• Ability to complete documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated commitment to cultural competence and diversity in therapy practice.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently within a remote team environment.
• Comfortable with technology and able to troubleshoot technical issues related to virtual therapy platforms.
