Salary: $19.57/hour
Schedule: Part time, 24 hours, 2nd shift, Monday, Friday, Saturday (2:30-10:30p)

Program Summary
A transitional program that provides case management, crisis intervention and symptom management support to people with significant mental illness and co-occurring disorders in a supervised setting. With the support of staff, clients are connected to community resources for clinical treatment, vocational skills training, and psycho-social opportunities.
Position Summary
The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. This position also assists program staff, and the ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents.
Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works on the Residential Behavioral Health Treatment care team to support clients’ recovery from mental illness, substance use, and homelessness.
Requirements
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.

- Are an external new hire, and;
- Are assigned to work a regular part-time or full-time (non-per diem) Residential Aide position, and;
- Are an employee in good standing at each evaluation period.

Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
