Behavior Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Primary Purpose: BCBAs will provide IEP based behavioral support for the assigned caseload. Duties include planning/delivery/supporting FBAs and BIPS, evaluations, documentation, MTSS behavior support, case management, and team consultation. The position may require travel between school buildings.

Position Details:

  • Location: Freeport, IL
  • Pay: Starting at $58 / hr
  • Hours: May vary based on location
  • Schedule: Part Time - 1 day/wk

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or beyond in Behavioral sciences, Psychology, Education or related field
  • Behavior Analyst Certification Board Certificate (BACB)
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Licensure
Skills & Experience:
  • Proficiency with school-based technology and office equipment, including computers and specialized software applications like Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Experience in a school-based setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach empirical practices supported by current research in the field
  • Provide staff development upon request (i.e., make-and-takes, support documents)
  • Collect outside resources for the school and/or family when necessary
  • Identify opportunities, needs, and sources for additional staff training
  • Direct observation of previously identified student(s)
  • Develop and implement behavioral interventions
  • Monitor the fidelity of implementation of the interventions
  • Collect & analyze data on the effect of intervention on student behavior
  • Guide data-based adjustments to the plan
  • Implement strategies to improve the classroom culture
  • Support through modeling and feedback (direct and indirect)
  • Completion of a comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessment FBA and development of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
  • Development/training on data collection for the student
  • Coaching for the team on how to support and improve the plan to best obtain the desired results
  • Consultation and support for the team throughout the BIP implementation
  • Service is focused on a specific student's behavior and how to achieve better success within the school environment
  • On-going follow-up as requested
