TriSource is seeking a dedicated and compassionate LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) In Washington, DC This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals and families, particularly focusing on adults and those with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, with a commitment to promoting mental wellness in the community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling services utilizing various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, including those with PTSD, addiction issues, and developmental disabilities.
• Facilitate crisis intervention sessions as necessary to support clients in acute distress.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective case management.
• Engage in clinical research activities as needed, contributing to data collection and analysis for ongoing program improvement.
• Provide home and community care services when required, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
• Participate in group therapy sessions focused on behavioral health challenges while fostering a supportive environment for participants.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution; LICSW licensure required.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or related fields;
• Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient medical record management.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards relevant to mental health care.
• Experience working with individuals facing developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
• Strong understanding of crisis management techniques and behavioral therapy practices.
• Valid Drivers License
