Job Overview
I've started writing my next book, tentatively entitled, "How to Live a Meaningful Life During the End of Civilization" and I'm looking for an assistant.

The idea for this book was inspired by the success of Keila Shaheen using TikTok Shop to make “The Shadow Work Journal” a bestseller. The research assistant would help me research and organize the book and workbook so that they appeal broadly across audiences (but particularly to GenZ).

After the book is organized and an outline finalized, I anticipate it taking 6 weeks to write. At the same time I would like the research assistant to help organize the workbook as well as researching the self-publishing process (including print-on-demand setup on platforms like Amazon KDP, Apple Books, etc), as well as analyzing social media to determine what worked on Keila Shaheen's platform.

In the past I've worked with assistants and university interns to shoot hundreds of educational videos for my social media accounts. This might require a second person, but in an ideal world the writing assistant would also help me design a social media marketing campaign and shoot some of it.

The ideal candidate would...

• have a strong interest in psychology as well as a familiarity with existentialism (20th century continental philosophy) and/or existential psychology
• be industrious, entrepreneurial, and think outside the box
• be a conscientious writer, with proper grammar and punctuation, even in emails
• want to learn about publishing
• be knowledgeable about TikTok and TikTok Shop
• be able to help design and create PDF layouts for the book, workbook, and book jackets
• help design a marketing campaign and create media
• be able to use Perplexity.ai or another AI to do academic research

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Internship

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
