About Job
We are seeking a fun, creative and intelligent Residential Counselor to help support our team of residential staff. The ideal candidate for this position will act as a caretaker for our residents, but also provide expert knowledge on a wide array of mental health issues. This position requires a lot of interaction with other counselors and nurses, so the successful candidate will be well-versed in medical terminology and enjoy working closely with others on our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services to children and adolescents.
- Provide medical assistance to children and adolescents who have been abused or neglected.
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments of clients.
- Advise other residential staff on behavioral issues with respect to clients being served.
- Conduct case management reviews.
- Assist in the development of program policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Develop discharge plans for children and adolescents.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- TOVA Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Medication Administration Certification (Preferred)
Shift availability:
