Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and experience working with diverse populations, including children and families. This role involves providing support, guidance, and therapeutic services to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, developmental disabilities, and crisis situations. The Social Worker will play a crucial role in promoting well-being and facilitating access to necessary resources within the community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
• Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients towards positive change.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide individual counseling to clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Conduct intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments to determine appropriate interventions.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
• Assist families in navigating community resources for additional support and care.
• Participate in clinical research activities related to behavioral health and social work practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent).
• Experience in child & family counseling, home & community care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems for medical records management is essential.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding practices is beneficial.
• Strong skills in case management, patient assessment, and crisis management are necessary.
• Experience with PTSD care, addiction counseling, behavioral therapy, or special education is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics and individuals with autism or other disabilities.

• Weekdays day shift 8-4:30
• Familiarity with use of electronic medical record such as EPIC
• Individual case management and knowledge of managed care
• De-escalation/restraint management techniques
• Motivational Interviewing and short-term treatment techniques-Brief family interventions as needed
• Strong ability to assess and evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans to address the identified needs.
• Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment
• Flu vaccine required
• Current staff will need to be vaccinated
• Active MA license required

Pay: $2,399.00 per week
