DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
· Ensure a safe environment for clients.
· Exercise therapeutic communication skills.
· Take steps to deescalate distressed clients.
· Observe and document client’s behavior.
· Assist with therapeutic and recreational activities.
· Monitor clients physical well being.
· Provide input regarding patients progress to interdisciplinary team
· Possesses adequate orientation and skills to assess situations related to relapse and provide access to appropriate medical care when needed.
· Function as client advocate.
· Provide CPST (Community Psychiatric and Support Treatment) , PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation) individually, and Psychotherapy.
· Assist the client in developing social and interpersonal skills to increase community tenure, enhance personal relationships, establish support networks, increase community awareness, and develop coping strategies and effective functioning in the individual’s social environment.
· Assist the client with developing daily living skills to improve self-management of the negative effects of psychiatric or emotional symptoms that interfere with a person's daily living.
· Implement learn skills so that clients can remain in a natural community location and achieve developmentally appropriate functioning.
· Assisted client would effectively respond in two or avoid and identified precursors or triggers that result in functional impairments.
· Regularly participate in scheduled clinical supervision with the LMHP.
· Maintains a professional relationship with staff, peers, and upper management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Any combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, is qualified. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities will be:
· Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, rehabilitation services, special education, early childhood education, secondary education, family and consumer sciences, or human growth and development with a minor in counseling, social work, sociology, or psychology.
· Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Louisiana driver’s license.
· CPR and First Aid Training Certification.
· Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI).
