Position Title: Clinical Supervisor Reports To: Director of Shelter Operations/Quality Control Department: Social Services Employment Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Position Status: Essential

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Client Care Coordinators ability to assess each family to understand their strengths and determine their service needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees Client Care Coordinators
  • Responsible for ensuring that the responsibilities of Client Care Coordinators are being fulfilled
  • Provide accountability oversight to ensure compliance with DHS regulations
  • Monitor, review and approve all Client Care Coordinators cases for day to day documentation, including progress notes, and other assessments
  • Assist with performance evaluations
  • Must provide job coaching to Client Care Coordinators as necessary
  • Supervision of Client Care Coordinators
  • Conduct monthly meetings with all Client Care Coordinators
  • Facilitates a team review of the biopsychosocial assessment
  • Plan and prep meetings with Client Care Coordinators and other staff members
  • Establish connections with other agencies to network
  • Provides short-term counseling, crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning and psycho-education (not psychotherapy)
  • In the event of an emergency, Essential Employees are required to report to work as scheduled
  • Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based upon assessment of company needs
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development; emotional/behavioral health; mental health, parent-child relationships; family dynamics and diagnostic classification
  • Strong expertise in strength-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice
  • Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to child welfare, safety, permanency and wellness
  • Knowledge and experience with group-work, as well as, working with diverse cultures and ethnicities
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
