RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for providing psychiatric services to individuals with developmental disabilities served by Developmental Services Division programs, including conducting psychiatric and medical evaluations, delivering treatment and medication management in accordance with best practices and guidelines, and completing all required clinical documentation and correspondence in a timely manner. Duties include educating individuals, families, and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment options, and medication use; ordering and reviewing labs and medical records; and collaborating with agency staff, programs, and community providers to ensure high-quality care; providing clinical backup, staff education, and consultation as needed, while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with all applicable protocols and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
M1: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited medical or osteopathic school
M2: Must have, or be eligible to obtain, licensure to practice medicine in the State of Virginia within six months of hire date
Preferred Requirements
P1: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
P2: Experience working specifically with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
P3: Experience working with Community Services Boards / Behavioral Health Authorities in the State of Virginia
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
HOURLY RATE RANGE
$120.19 - $210.33
