Job Duties:

• The ability to obtain and verify accurate insurance information for customers
• Ability to ensure payment for services prior to the customer being seen
• Verify that the assigned therapist/program is credentialed with the individual's insurance
• Ability to be proactive and to prioritize work tasks
• Ability to function effectively as a member of a team that may include multiple programs, locations, departments as well as external organizations and insurance companies.
• Understand how trauma affects an individual and know effective ways to respond to individuals who have experienced it
• Ability to effectively communicate in a way the client can understand
• Maintain all IBHS and AKC billing along with authorizations for these programs

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Training and/or experience with insurance companies preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
• Prior experience with medical billing and coding is preferred.
