Salary Grade: Educational Grade 05/ EG-05

Position Summary: The Secondary School Counselor Coach works to assist in the development of effective school counselors to maximize student success. The school counselor coach supports new and experienced counselors to ensure students receive a high-quality sequence of rigorous coursework to prepare them for success in college and careers. This position ensures that school counselors are developed and supported to provide each student with an individualized and equitable academic trajectory, leading to increased graduation rates, increased college enrollment and completion rates, and successful workforce entry.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
  • Master’s degree in counseling or related field required
Experience:
  • Three (3) years’ experience in effective secondary classroom teaching or
counseling
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
  • Obtain or the ability to obtain an Oklahoma school counselor certification
  • Knowledge of the American School Counselors Association Framework
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
