About Job

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


Serving as a Licensed School Psychologist, this contract position supports middle and high school students within a dynamic educational environment. The role is based in Lawrence, KS, with a focus on delivering psychological services and consultations to a diverse caseload of approximately 195 students with varied disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students in grades 6-12.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Consult with teachers and administrators to address behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and offer expert recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a School Psychologist covering grades K-12.
  • Experience working with middle and high school students, especially those with diverse disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessments and intervention strategies in educational settings.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Position Details:

  • Location: Lawrence, Kansas
  • Contract duration: August 12, 2025 May 21, 2025
  • Schedule: 5 days per week, approximately 35-40 hours weekly
  • Caseload: Approximately 195 students with disabilities from middle to high school levels
  • No paraprofessional support required
