A contract social worker position is available in Baltimore, MD, supporting K-12 students in a school setting for the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on providing essential social work services to students, helping address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact their academic performance and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Counsel students individually or in groups to address various personal and social issues
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive educational environment
  • Connect students and families with external community resources and services
  • Maintain accurate case records and document interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and challenges

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW)
  • Relevant licensure or certification as required by state regulations
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or educational environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of students, families, and staff
