An opportunity is available for a full-time School Psychologist to support a K-12 charter school located in Lowell, MA, for the academic year. This contract position offers the chance to work within a dynamic educational setting dedicated to fostering student growth and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments across the K-12 student population.
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and consultation to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives that support student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts School Psychologist licensure.
- Proven experience conducting psychological assessments in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to manage a full caseload, typically assigned to one school.
