Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time position with school districts in the Juneau, Alaska area. We are seeking committed professionals who are passionate about supporting students academic, social, and emotional development.

Requirements

Applicants must meet all state and local requirements to apply, including:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field

  • Valid Alaska Type C Special Services Certificate with a School Psychologist endorsement issued by the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED)

  • Completion of a state-approved School Psychology preparation program, including internship requirements

  • Passing scores on required Praxis examinations (if applicable)

  • Knowledge of Alaska special education laws and federal regulations (IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, etc.)

  • Strong skills in assessment, consultation, and intervention strategies

  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and background clearance

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting psychoeducational assessments to identify students strengths and needs

  • Developing and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs) and evidence-based interventions

  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to foster student success

  • Providing counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis support services

  • Assisting with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and positive behavioral strategies

  • Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning

  • Ensuring compliance with DEED and district documentation requirements
