A school-based social worker position is available for the upcoming school year, supporting students in grades K-5. This full-time, onsite role is based in Hampshire, Illinois, and involves a typical social worker caseload within an elementary setting. The position requires supporting both general education and special education students, providing essential services to promote their well-being and academic success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans tailored to students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals to create supportive educational environments
  • Providing counseling and crisis intervention services
  • Facilitating communication between the school and community resources to support student development
  • Managing caseload documentation and reporting in compliance with district and state guidelines

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Worker endorsement
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Knowledge of both general education and special education frameworks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment
