Our new Beaverton Recovery Center is designed to be a trauma-informed and patient-centered residential environment where individuals begin or continue their journey toward recovery. CODA’s mission is to treat every individual with compassion, dignity, and evidence-based care—and our Residential Aids are vital to making that mission a reality.
About the Role:
As a Residential Aid, you’ll be responsible for supporting a safe, secure, and therapeutic living environment for patients engaged in recovery services. You’ll monitor patient activity, provide transportation and documentation support, maintain order and cleanliness in the facility, and play a key role in establishing a respectful and stable treatment community. This is a hands-on, people-focused role for those who want to contribute directly to patients’ healing and stability.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain a structured and supportive environment by monitoring patient behavior and location
- Respond to medical needs and emergencies per CODA’s site procedures
- Conduct room, property, and safety checks to ensure a contraband-free environment
- Assist with patient check-ins, daily routines, medication administration, and UA collections
- Drive patients to recovery-related appointments (if an approved driver)
- Support documentation and log entries within the electronic medical record
- Serve as a professional, trauma-informed role model for residents
- Assist with household cleaning, phone answering, filing, and shift change reports
- Help facilitate community meetings and group outings
- Maintain strong ethical and professional boundaries with all patients
- Support children and families, where applicable, in family-oriented programs]
Available Shifts:
- Day Saturday-Sunday 5:45am-2:15pm
- Day Monday-Friday 5:45am-2:15pm
- Swing Saturday-Sunday 2pm-10:15pm
- Swing Monday-Friday 2pm-10:15pm
- Grave Saturday-Sunday 9:30pm-7:00am
- Grave Monday-Friday 9:30pm-7:00am
What You Will Bring:
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: At least 6 months of education, training, or experience in addictions treatment
- Preferred: 1 year of work experience in a residential, clinical, or medical team setting
- Strong emotional composure and ability to maintain safety in high-risk situations
- Professional communication, teamwork, and reliability
- Commitment to patient confidentiality, trauma sensitivity, and respect
- Ability to work in a structured environment while remaining flexible and empathetic
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate electronic medical records
