Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and implementing behavioral therapy techniques for children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The Behavior Technician will work closely with clients to promote their development and well-being through structured interventions and data collection.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
- Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
- Assist in the development of patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and intake forms, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other professionals in the field of behavioral health, special education, and patient care to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Engage with families to provide updates on progress and strategies for continued support at home.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and principles, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment processes, and medical documentation practices.
- Experience in special education or working with people on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively document client interactions and collaborate with team members.
