Our Social Work Department provides LCSW Clinical Supervision to those pursuing their LCSW, opportunity to provide graduate level Social Work field supervision requiring a field placement, and onsite CEU opportunities.
Essential Job Functions
- Psychosocial and Safety Assessments
- Transitions of Care Planning
- Coordination of interdisciplinary interventions
- Crisis intervention
- Supportive counseling around adjustment to illness, hospitalization, and/or outpatient care
- Promote access to hospital and community resources
- Provide private and Government sponsored insurance navigation support and advocacy
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- Self-motivated, organized and comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- A Collaborative, solution-focused, team player to help facilitate safe patient outcomes and contribute to institutional goals
- Previous clinical social work experience in a health care setting of at least one year
- Licensure in Illinois
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Previous clinical social work experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Behavioral Health Experience Preferred.
- Experienced in conducting psychosocial assessments using a Trauma-Informed Care approach.
- Understanding of State regulations for Gender Based Care
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance coverage and protocols.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
