What you'll do

The Personal Care Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Bell Trace Companion Care and supervising the staff of Personal Services.
  • Assures compliance with regulatory aspects of the Personal Services Program.
  • Reviews, proposes and implements policies and procedures that improve operations to promote increase quality services with annual budget guidelines.
  • Educates residents and family members on services available and promotes the availability of services.
  • Attains revenue goals for Personal Services as defined in the yearly budget.
  • Marketing-Health and Living in-house.
  • Training-Utilizes Relias Computer System and assures that caregivers receive proper training and in-servicing.
  • Evaluates service effectiveness/deficiencies and customer satisfaction; proposes and implements corrective action.
  • Promptly processes service calls and effectively establishes priorities for service delivery.
  • Recruits, trains and schedules caregivers. Selects staff for work assignments.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate up-to-date resident admission packages, service plans and staff schedules, and shares appropriate information with the staff to ensure smooth operation of services at all times.
  • Adequately documents procedures and maintains an organized approach in handling routine operational matters.
  • Accurately prepares billing information and submits information in a timely manner.
  • Completes employee performance appraisals for designated staff in a timely manner. Demonstrates management skills in evaluating performance and setting goals with the employees supervised.
  • Assures designated staff complies with all policies and procedures.
  • Handles personnel matters in prompt and professional fashion including disciplinary action and/or terminations.

Our ideal candidate

  • College degree in human services field preferred and/or appropriate coursework.
  • Direct experience working with seniors in a home health setting, senior housing situation or other relevant senior setting is required.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to Personal Services.
  • Actively listens, follows appropriate channels of communication.
  • Ability to effectively present information, communicate and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, staff and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability and emotional stability to deal with upset residents for families.
