About Job

LCSW Clinical Supervisor - Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic - Beacon, NY - $80K

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor (LCSW) to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral and mental health, with a passion for providing quality care to individuals and families.

As a Clinical Supervisor, you will work closely with the Center Director to lead a multi-disciplinary treatment program and oversee the daily operations of a bustling behavioral health center. Your leadership and clinical expertise will be crucial in fostering a positive, supportive, and effective environment for both staff and clients.

Duties

  • Clinical and Supervisory Leadership: You will be responsible for a team of 3-5 direct reports, providing them with ongoing clinical supervision and support. This includes conducting regular case consultations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
  • Direct Client Care: You will provide individual and group therapy to a diverse clientele. This includes assisting with the pre-intake, intake, and screening of new clients, and gathering a comprehensive understanding of their psycho-social history.
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: You will conduct thorough differential diagnoses for clients and develop individualized, comprehensive treatment plans. These plans will be continuously modified in reflection of the client's progress, preparing them for the successful completion of their treatment.
  • Documentation and Administration: You will maintain accurate and timely medical records, documenting all client contacts and interactions in our NetSmart EMR system. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks and responding to queries from outside agencies regarding client information in compliance with all regulations.
  • Coordination and Community Engagement: You will coordinate care with external parties, such as schools, Social Services, and the probation department, to ensure a holistic approach to treatment. You will also act as a client advocate, serving as a liaison with community resources and providing clients with information on educational community activities.
  • Training and Program Development: You will provide training and mentorship to colleagues on best practices in mental health treatment. Additionally, you will be involved in developing and implementing follow-up studies to assess and ensure program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Licensure and Experience: You must hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) through the New York State Department of Education. We require a minimum of 2-4 years of post-licensure clinical/counseling supervisory experience.
  • Specialized Knowledge: You must have proven experience in behavioral/mental health. Professional training in trauma-informed care or equivalent experience is also required. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing is highly valued.
  • Required Skills: The ability to work a flexible schedule, including one late day per week (Tuesday or Thursday), is essential. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with a population that may have behavioral disorders, psychiatric conditions, or substance abuse issues.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: This is a full-time position with a range of $77,000 to $81,000 annually.
  • Paid Time Off: You will receive a generous paid time off package, including 2 weeks of vacation to start (up to 4 weeks with tenure), 13 paid holidays, 12 sick days, and 4 personal days.
  • Health and Wellness: We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additional benefits include group term life and long-term disability insurance, supplemental insurance through Aflac, and an employee assistance program (EAP).
  • Retirement: The company offers a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match of up to 5%.
  • Additional Perks: Family Services Behavioral Health Centers are eligible for the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) through the federal Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA 1 ). This program can provide student loan repayment funds in exchange for a work commitment. Employees also have access to our Compassionate Leave Program, which allows for the donation and reception of unused time off.
