Job Overview:
Position Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and caring individuals to serve as Counselors for our after-school program’s in La Canada. Counselors will supervise, mentor, and engage students in recreational, academic, and enrichment activities in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of students at all times.
• Lead and assist with teaching STEM projects once a week at the school
• Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and respect among students.
• Serve as a positive role model, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Assist with set-up and clean-up of program areas.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and program coordinators.
• Follow all program policies, emergency procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age: 16–18.
• Prior experience working with children (camp, tutoring, babysitting, mentoring, or volunteer work) preferred.
• Background check is mandatory
• Ability to lead activities, manage groups, and resolve conflicts calmly.
• Energetic, dependable, and flexible team player.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus.

Schedule

• You will be asked to run 2 programs at an elementary school every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4:00 pm in La Canada
• Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
