Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral principles and practices, particularly in working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing behavior intervention strategies to enhance the quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Initial Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs, strengths, and challenges of clients. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
2. Design Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Develop and implement effective and evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
3. Provide Behavior Analytic Services: Implement and monitor the BIPs, collect data on behavior targets, and analyze progress to make data-driven decisions for treatment modifications.
4. Collaborate with Families and Caregivers: Work closely with clients' families and caregivers, providing training, support, and education on behavioral strategies and interventions to ensure consistency and carryover of skills in the home environment.
5. Train and Supervise ABA Therapists/RBTs: Provide training and ongoing supervision to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapists and direct support staff to ensure the fidelity of behavior plans and intervention techniques.
6. Maintain Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including client progress reports, data sheets, and documentation required for billing and insurance purposes.
7. Stay Current with Research and Best Practices: Stay informed about the latest research, developments, and best practices in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis to continuously improve the quality of services provided.
8. Conduct Parent and Staff Meetings: Conduct regular meetings with parents, caregivers, and team members to discuss progress, set goals, and address any concerns or questions.
9. Collaborate with Other Professionals: Coordinate and collaborate with other professionals involved in the client's care, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification (where applicable).
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, ASD, and related conditions in a home-based or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavior analytic principles and interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Willingness to travel to clients' homes within a designated service area.
