Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a strong understanding of behavioral therapy and clinical counseling. This role involves providing support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their challenges, and promoting mental health and well-being in a clinical setting.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide behavioral therapy and clinical counseling to children and or adults, utilizing evidence-based techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other professionals in the clinic to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive outcomes for clients.
- Engage with families to provide education and support regarding their child's needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices.
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and clinical counseling methods.
- Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting, particularly in special education environments.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Understanding of social work principles as they relate to mental health care.
