SPG Therapy & Education, is currently hiring Teacher Assistants for school-based positions to provide support for students on school transportation or in a classroom setting in San Francisco Bay Area. Rate: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting students on school transportation or in a classroom assignment
• Providing assistance to students in a special education setting
• Aiding students in functional skills, such as toileting, feeding, and other self-help skills
• Provide feedback and model appropriate behavior to students within a special education setting
• Collaborating effectively with teachers and other school staff
• Supporting students’ educational programs and implementation of IEP goals as needed
• Assisting teachers with data collection for student progress
• Assisting students in their academic core subject areas as needed

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’ s degree preferred
• Ability to be available on an as-needed basis
• Ability to travel to multiple sites to provide coverage
• A minimum of three consecutive years of experience working with students in various grades
• Ability to work with students in-person
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus!

General Requirements:

• Fingerprint background clearance
• Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
