Substitute Classroom Aide (Registered Behavioral Technician)
Location: Carlsbad, CA (across Carlsbad School District)
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday | School Hours Only (7:45/8 AM – 3:00 PM)
Position Type: Per Diem / Substitute | Flexible Hours

Optimum Behavioral Health (OBH) is seeking Substitute Behavioral Health Technicians (RBTs) to support students with autism and behavioral challenges in school settings. This role is ideal for candidates who want meaningful work with children, flexible scheduling, and professional growth opportunities.

What You’ll Do

Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support for students (K–12)
Implement individualized behavior plans designed by BCBAs
Support classroom management and encourage student success
Track progress with simple data collection
Work alongside teachers, BCBAs, and school staff

What We’re Looking For

RBT certification_ (or willingness to pursue with our guidance)_
Driver’s license and reliable transportation
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or in progress) in psychology, education, or related field
Experience working with children (school, childcare, tutoring, camps, etc.)
Strong communication skills and adaptability in school environments
