Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IOP Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in providing individual and group therapy to adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. As an IOP Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients, facilitating group therapy, and collaborating with our integrated team to ensure our clients receive comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
- Provide individual counseling to address client-specific needs and treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations (COMAR) and company policies.
- Participate in team meetings and clinical supervision.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
- Collaborate with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active and unrestricted Maryland state license (LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCADC) or an equivalent license with the ability to obtain Maryland licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a substance use treatment setting, preferably in an IOP or similar level of care.
- Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria and substance use disorder treatment models.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
