Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing high-quality care to individuals, with a focus on promoting mental wellness and addressing diverse psychological needs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations to determine client needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique challenges faced by clients, including PTSD care, crisis intervention, and addiction counseling.
- Implement behavior management strategies for clients with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on grief counseling, chronic pain management, and behavioral health.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and case management.
- Engage in clinical research to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to the field of mental health.
- Provide telehealth services as needed to accommodate client preferences and accessibility.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A valid license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential.
- Experience in psychotherapy with a focus on child & family counseling is preferred.
- Familiarity with crisis management techniques and direct support for individuals facing mental health challenges.
- Previous experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment protocols, and clinical documentation practices is essential.
- Experience with special populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and those requiring behavioral therapy is highly desirable.

Pay: $70,399.22 - $84,781.86 per year
