About Job

TraumaTherapist – Private Group Practice

We are a small, dedicated group practice specializing in trauma treatment through a non-pathologizing, relational lens. Our foundation is in relational psychodynamic therapy, informed by attachment theory, developmental trauma, CBT skills, and deep respect for each client’s internal world.

Our work is rooted in relational care, deep clinical curiosity, and a strong commitment to ongoing growth — both for our clients and our clinicians. We’re known for doing the kind of work most others shy away from, which can be both highly rewarding and challenging at times.

We believe that healing happens in the context of safe, attuned relationships — and that starts with the relationship between therapist and client. This also extends to the relationships among colleagues. Because of the nature of our work, having a cohesive, supportive, and dedicated team is paramount.

Ideal Candidate

A licensed or limited permit psychologist (or experienced clinician) who:

  • Is passionate about working with trauma, attachment wounds, dissociation, and/ or complex clinical presentations
  • Brings curiosity, humility, and presence into the therapy space
  • Believes in meeting clients with compassion, not diagnoses
  • Is comfortable with slower, process-oriented therapy — and knows that trust can’t be rushed
  • Wants to be part of a team of thoughtful, supportive, and growth-minded clinicians
  • Is either already trained or actively interested in trauma-informed modalities and/or psychodynamic therapy
  • Values case consultation, peer feedback, and ongoing professional development
  • Thrives in a supportive, reflective team environment
  • Has a strong ethical compass and deep empathy for clients navigating the hardest parts of life even when they’re challenging.

Why Join Us

We get it — you could go out or continue on your own or just be another cog in the wheel of a much larger practice.

But here’s what you’d miss:

  • Supportive clinical culture – This is lonely work sometimes! We value creating a supportive team that meets for regular case consults, didactics, and supervision
  • Meaningful specialization – build your trauma expertise in a practice dedicated to and well-versed in this work
  • Flexibility with structure – set your hours while being part of a dynamic community
  • Administrative freedom – billing, marketing, and other admin done for you
  • Competitive compensation – Compensation commiserate with experience and fee structures with many growth opportunities as we continue to expand
  • A practice that values you — as a clinician and as a person

What We Provide

  • Full administrative support (EHR, billing, tech, etc.)

· Referrals and marketing

· Weekly group supervision, didactics, individual supervision (for those working towards licensure), and regular consultations

· Full benefits, including vision/dental, 401k and PTO for full-time clinicians

· Family leave

  • A culture of care — for our clients and each other

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, limited permit or full license
  • LCSW and/or pre-licensed individuals may be considered depending on experience and interest
  • Interest in relational psychodynamic therapy (prior training ideal but not required)
  • Capacity to see 25 clients/week for full-time or 12-16 for part-time
  • Warmth, professionalism, and a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship
  • Ability to both empathize with and challenge clients with compassion

We’re not hiring a “provider.” We’re building a team of thoughtful, passionate clinicians who care about the craft of therapy and the humanity of healing. If that sounds like you — reach out.
