About Job

This one year guaranteed position (due to grant funding) will work with the students and families who struggle to attend school regularly and help to successfully reintegrate to the school setting. They will meet regularly with 12-15 students and provide services to a far greater number of families by being a resource to community agencies. This individual will also take the lead on our peer mentoring program to match up students to support each other. The successful candidate will work closely with our school counseling department and be a valued member of our Building Assets, Reducing Risks intervention team to support all students in our building. It is not a requirement that the candidate hold certification as a Social Worker but this is the skill set that is necessary to successfully navigate this position. Successful candidates will hold their teacher or school social worker certification or have the ability to obtain as the position will be on a teacher contract.
