About Job
Join a Thriving, Mission-Driven Counseling Practice That Puts People First
Are you a licensed therapist (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) seeking a vibrant community and a steady stream of motivated clients—without the hassle of marketing yourself? At The WELD Group, we make private practice simple, meaningful, and sustainable.
What Sets Us Apart
Supportive Team Culture
Work alongside a passionate team that believes in encouragement, shared learning, and genuine connection. Our therapists consistently highlight the community support they receive.
Purpose-Driven Practice
We serve a diverse population, including those who rely on insurance to access care. Many of our therapists integrate faith into their work, and we welcome all backgrounds.
Flexible Scheduling
You create your own hours—daytime, evening, or weekend availability. (Evening/weekend availability is especially in demand.)
Strong Compensation
Our therapists typically earn $85K–$125K per year depending on caseload volume, while maintaining flexibility and autonomy. Note: This is a 1099 position and commission (percentage of billing) based. The above estimate is income based on expected volume of sessions.
What Makes a Great Fit
The most successful therapists in this role are:
- Warm, personable, and energetic – able to connect quickly with a wide variety of clients.
- Outgoing and team-oriented – eager to collaborate and contribute to a supportive community.
- Self-starters – motivated to grow their practice and reputation while thriving in a structured system.
- Versatile clinicians – comfortable working with diverse presenting issues, since client assignments are based largely on insurance needs.
- Willing to create content – open to writing or filming short videos that help our marketing and intake team introduce you to clients.
A Launchpad Into Private Practice
This position is ideal for therapists in the early years of their career (1–3 years post-licensure) who want a jump start into private practice. In the first 1–2 years, most of your caseload will come from clients accessing care through insurance. Over time, as you build your reputation and receive referrals from the community and past clients, you’ll naturally transition toward more self-pay clients and higher payouts.
What Our Therapists Say
“WELD gave me the opportunity to focus on the part of therapy I love—working with clients. I never expected to fill my schedule so quickly, and the team has been amazing.” — L.M.
“I wanted to serve people who couldn’t afford out-of-pocket rates. WELD made it possible for me to offer care through insurance and still be well-compensated.” — B.E.
Are We the Right Fit for You?
- Are you fully licensed in Texas (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW)?

If this sounds like your next professional home, we’d love to hear from you.
