Responsibilities

Major *

Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to develop behavioral health interventions.

Provide evidence-based treatments, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.

Communicate regularly with primary care providers and staff regarding patient status and care recommendations.

Implement psychoeducational classes targeting common diagnoses in primary care.

Document patient encounters in the electronic health record.

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Who May * US Citizens

Applicants must meet education and experience requirements, including relevant volunteer work, with clear documentation in their resumes. Transcripts are required if qualifying through education.

Basic * Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in clinical psychology.

Specialized * At least one year of experience conducting behavioral health assessments, providing treatments, and working in a multidisciplinary team, typical of a GS-12 level position. Education cannot substitute for experience in this case.

Education
