Mabri & Associates and Institute for Behavioral Change, Inc is a Behavioral Health Agency that services the Washington, DC & Charles County, MD area, it is currently expanding its services and is looking at adding an experienced clinician to its team to provide mental health therapy.

DC Office is full remote

Position Purpose/Summary

The primary responsibility of the mental health therapist/clinician is to perform diagnostics interviews, and evaluate patients referred for mental challenges.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the delivery of client-centered services to all clients.
  • Deliver excellent client service to excellent healthcare stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the excellent healthcare’s behavioral health treatment processes and operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct a Psycho-socio assessment and make the necessary recommendation for the next step of treatment.
  • Sets objectives and goals for treatment and develops treatment plans, implements, and monitors treatment plans.
  • Provides individual or group treatment, such as psychotherapy, supportive therapy, or crisis intervention on a long-term or short-term basis.
  • Consult with family, community, and external health agencies to obtain information and coordinate therapy, and help patients utilize the resources of agencies.
  • Maintains patient charts and records, including evaluation, progress notes, individual treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Foster a staff culture that supports excellent healthcare values and codes of conduct.
  • Provide assistance and information to excellent healthcare management as requested.
  • Compliance and attendance of scheduled clinical supervision meetings.
  • Compliance with all administrative and clinical policies and procedures including HIPAA.
  • Participation in the peer review process as coordinated by the agency.
  • Participation in all scheduled staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirement

Education: Minimum of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, and mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university.

  • Special Requirement: In addition to a master’s degree, candidates must have a valid license as a Licensed social worker or professional counselor [LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, or LCPC].
  • Experience: At least one year of professional experience working in mental health, in public or certified private welfare or health agency providing counseling, psychotherapy, and related social services to individuals. A new graduate with the right skill set will also be considered.
  • Recent graduates in need of supervision are encouraged to apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
