Foothill Recovery Center is a premier treatment facility in the San Gabriel Valley offering all levels of care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment that empowers lasting recovery.

We are seeking a Clinical Director (Licensed Psychologist, PsyD or PhD) to lead our clinical team and help shape the future of our program. This is a highly visible leadership role for a mission-driven clinician with a strong background in addiction treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of all treatment programs across detox, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care.
  • Carry a direct caseload of clients, delivering individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Supervise and mentor a diverse team of clinicians including AMFTs, ASWs, and student-level therapists.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of clinical programming, treatment protocols, and evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure documentation meets utilization review standards and supports medical necessity for care.
  • Collaborate with medical, admissions, and operations leadership to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
  • Serve as a role model for ethical, compassionate, and professional conduct in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychologist (PsyD or PhD) in California (required).
  • Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience in substance abuse primary and co-occurring mental health treatment settings.
  • Previous experience as a clinical supervisor and program leader in a treatment facility.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise associates and student therapists while cultivating a positive, learning-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
