Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Counselor role is based in an elementary school setting in New London, NH. Serving approximately 121 students, this in-person position offers an opportunity to provide direct support and guidance to young learners. The contract runs through the school year, beginning August 26.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling services to elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student well-being
- Develop and implement social-emotional learning programs and interventions
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Address academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns with appropriate strategies
- Promote a positive school climate and student engagement
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified as a school counselor or related counseling credential
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish rapport and supportive relationships with students
- Knowledge of counseling techniques and child development principles
