About Job

We are Massachusetts Center for Adolescent Wellness (MCAW) of the North Shore, which offers comprehensive mental health treatment, primarily through therapeutic groups, for adolescents aged 13 to 17 years old, in a warm and welcoming environment. There is an emphasis on helping our clients make lasting changes in their lives through the mutual aid of therapeutic groups and developing and implementing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills.

Family involvement and care coordination are also at the forefront of our treatment model. We work with clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. Evidence-based modalities are combined with holistic methods to provide the best care. Our Clinicians provide treatment services for our Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program in Lynnfield, MA. This program provides in person services to adolescents with mental health and substance use disorders.

We are seeking a Master-level/Licensed, OR Licensed eligible Clinician, PT Therapist to join our team!

Schedule:

  • GROUP THERAPIST – PRN/PT Status (Adolescent PHP & IOP) / 3:30p – 7:30p (2 – 4 days a week)
The experienced Therapist should meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Minimum of (2) years of experience as a Therapist and/or Mental Health Counselor in a mental health environment.
  • Able to work the schedule as above noted.
  • Licensed Therapist preferred; for license eligible candidates – PHP and IOP experience is required.
  • Able to facilitate engaging groups and meeting with clients individually when needed.
  • Strong communication, flexibility, and creativity are a must.
  • Experience with providing mental health services to adolescents ages 13 – 17.
  • Well versed in evidence-based interventions.
  • Requires in-person evaluations.
  • Group experience is preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidates.


Job Status:
Part-time (PRN)

Pay: $40 - $50 per / Compensation commensurate with experience and licensure

Medical Specialty: Mental Health Counseling, Psychiatry, Behavioral Health

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field (required)
License/Certification: LICSW, LCSW, LMHC (preferred but not required)
Experience: Counseling: 2 years (Required)
