About Job

Milestones is seeking a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional to join our team as a Contractual (1099) School-Based Youth & Adolescent Therapist. As a school-based therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional well-being and growth of school-aged children on site at school, working both individually and in small groups. Additionally, you will have the option to see clients outside the school setting for individual and/or group counseling services.The therapist/clinician will provide individual counseling to children in schools 1-3 days a week. (During school hours, days are flexible)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children and adolescents online, in person and in school settings, addressing a range of mental health concerns, emotional challenges, and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, staff, and community partners to develop and implement effective intervention plans to support mental health needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify mental health disorders and developmental concerns, offering tailored treatment plans accordingly.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate emotional growth, coping skills, and resilience in children and adolescents.
  • Foster a safe, empathetic, and supportive therapeutic environment, ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
  • Monitor and track children's progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Offer crisis intervention services as required, providing immediate support during challenging situations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with other professionals to address holistic student needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, continuously improving therapeutic approaches.

Requirements:

* Master degree in counseling/social work (license associate required)
