POSITION: Behavior Interventionist
REPORTS TO: Headmaster

Position Summary
The Behavior Interventionist will work directly with academy level staff to aid with training and the development and implementation of behavior support plans.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Conduct FBAs as needed within the network
· Assist school staff with creating behavior intervention plans
· Train, observe & provide feedback to special education teachers, special education assistants and general education teachers on implementation of behavior intervention plans
· Collaborate & provide feedback to schools as needed on behavior related issues
· Collaborate with Behavior Support Specialists, Exceptional Student Services, and the other team members of the Academy Operations Team
· Creating training for teachers on strategies for working with students with Autism, ADHD, ODD, and DD
· Assist in evaluating progress towards goals
· Assist academies with making private placement recommendations
· Meet with site-based teams before and after the implementation of support plans
· Assist site teams in analyzing behavioral data to determine trends and areas to address
Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths
· Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis or similar area
· Master’s Certificate – Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
· 3-5 years’ experience working in a school setting
· Experience in conducting functional behavioral assessments
· Experience in creating Behavior Intervention Plans
· Preferred experience with autistic, developmentally delayed, and Oppositional-Defiant children
Skills:
· Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and site team members.
· Ability to contribute and participate in the assessment, intervention, and documentation process.
· Proficient in the use of technology
Additional Requirements
Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
Travel required: Will need to travel locally to the various academies within the Phoenix metro area. Mileage Reimbursement.
Training: Willingness to be trained in and use Collaborative and Proactive Solutions
