The Brewster TDS Social Work Supervisor is responsible to provide supervision and leadership within the Education department and the agency. When required to do so, the Social Work Supervisor may assume the duties of the Clinical Coordinator in the Coordinator’s absence and assume administrative responsibilities as necessary.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise assigned full-time Social Workers/Clinicians
- Carry partial caseload of up to 8, and more when necessary to cover for absent Social Workers
- Assist in the selection, training, and evaluation of staff. Perform all necessary HR actions required to hire and retain a qualified workforce.
- Chair department meetings and case conferences
- Attend treatment planning meetings, as needed
- Complete Quarterly IEP Progress Notes, Related Service Reports, Social History updates, Individual Crisis Service Plans, and Case Conference Summaries in a timely manner.
- Maintain current and accurate electronic health record for students.
- Represent agency at CSE conferences, meetings, court, etc. if necessary
- Provide a leadership role in departmental/clinical services, including but not necessarily limited to seeking out and/or providing clinical training and professional development for department clinicians
- Attend Parent Trainings and special events annually
- Facilitate DBT consults
- Member of School Threat Assessment Team Additional related duties as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator and VP of Social Services
Education/Experience:
- Master’s in Social Work or related clinical degree from accredited school
- Five years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in the field of school social work
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
Licensure/Certification:
- LCSW or related license, or eligible to receive within 6 months
Schedule: 40 hour per week; Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Weekend hours required at varying times throughout the year to facilitate family and/or parent activities. Hours outside of normal schedule required for parent meetings, conferences, and other department and/or agency needs.
Rate of pay is $74,192 - $79,350 annually depending on education, experience and licensure. This is a full time role with competitive benefits.
