About Job
About the role
We're looking for an psychiatrist in the NYC area with industry-sponsored CNS clinical trial experience ( you must have been an investigator on past CNS trials). This is project-based role: we’ll submit your CV to pharma/CRO sponsors for upcoming protocols; if selected during site qualification, you’ll serve as Investigator for that study.
Why this is a fit
- Work 2–10 hrs/week on average per protocol (varies by visit schedule).
- Help bring novel CNS therapies to diverse, community patients in Brooklyn.
- Professional operations team (CRC, regulatory, recruitment) so you can focus on medical oversight.
What you’ll do
- Serve as PI/Sub-I on CNS trials (MDD, AD/ADRD, anxiety, bipolar, etc.).
- Provide medical oversight: eligibility review, safety assessments, AE/SAE attribution, concomitant meds review, and dose decisions per protocol.
What we’re looking for
- MD/DO in Psychiatry, board-certified (or board-eligible with recent completion).
- Active NY medical license (additional state licenses a plus).
- Prior industry CNS trial experience as PI or Sub-I (list the specific studies in your CV).
- Bonus: rater certifications (e.g., MADRS, HAM-D, CDR, ADAS-Cog), dementia clinic or memory-care experience
Time & location
- Located in Brooklyn with hybrid flexibility. On-site presence for key visits and initiation is expected; telemedicine follow-ups only if allowed by sponsors
- Typical commitment per protocol: 2–10 hrs/week; heavier during start-up/SIV and first enrollments.
Compensation (contract / 1099)
- Competitive investigator rates aligned with sponsor budgets—typically a blend of hourly/retainer + per-visit oversight and medical review fees. Final structure varies by protocol complexity and sponsor schedule.
How the project-based model works
- You share your CV with sponsors
- If selected, we complete credentialing and kick off SIV; you begin as PI/Sub-I.
- We handle recruitment, regulatory, and operations; you provide clinical leadership.
