Responsibilities
- Schedule appropriate staff based on competency and availability to provide quality care to clients
- Function as facilitator among clients, families, clinical staff, case managers and insurance companies
- Informs patient and/or significant in delay or reschedule of service times when required
- Receives and communicates customer/patient complaints to supervisors, as necessary
- Communicates recruiting needs to administrator/recruiter and participates in recruitment, hiring and orientation activities
- Coaches and counsels para-professional staff
- Ensures para-professional compliance with agency policies
- Creates and maintains all new patient files
- Maintains and updates scheduling lists
- Answers telephone and respond to inquiries by directing calls to appropriate staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some College or business education preferred.
- Minimum of two years of office experience work in a health care setting.
- Bilingual preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers and administrative staff.
- Demonstrates self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills, flexibility and the ability to deal with a high level of stress.
- Good telephone, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate schedules, notes and records.
- Proficient in the use of computers and software programs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
- Ideal candidate will have experience as a Care Coordinator for a NY State Licensed Agency
- Participates in agency On-Call as needed
- Participates in annual administrative areas of performance evaluation for the HHA/PCA
- Participates in verification of time slips for payroll and program purposes weekly
- Other administrative assignments as directed to facilitate daily operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
